Top Baby/Toddler Products You Didn’t Think You’d Need but Definitely Do

I’m sure most of us swear by our favorite sound machines and sleep sacks, stroller travel systems and activity tables but here’s a list of products you may not initially think to add to cart! We use all of these on a weekly, if not daily, basis and are what I’d gift a mama-to-be.

We call this our daughter’s soccer mom chair. It’s so cute and convenient and is perfect for travel, park picnics, or beach and pool days.

Squirmy babies, tiny nails and nail clippers are a scary trio. This nail file, complete with a light, has made those stressful grooming moments a breeze. I even use it to file mine!

We live in Arizona so this is a must have but we get asked about it every time we are out! It’s perfect for any outing where the forecast is over 80 degrees. It attaches easily to a stroller but can also stand on a flat surface.

We moved shortly before both the pandemic and getting pregnant so we knew our daughter wouldn’t be able to see our family and friends in person until she was a little order. I made her an album of all of her special family members and honorary aunts and uncles. It’s still one of her favorite things on the bookshelf and she definitely recognizes faces because of it!

We received this as a gift and not only does it soothe a fussy baby miraculously, it is now a permanent part of our bedtime routine. I never would have thought of this!

Perfect for the “where do I put you” age and beyond! Little ones will love the music and lights and the mat transitions to great tummy time and sitting up exercises!

This is such a simple yet inventive toy that has stood the test of attention spans in our house. Bonus points for its whimsical aesthetic!
